The Knox City Police Department has hired two new officers.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok told WKVI News Alex Miles and Brandon Pittman were hired and approved during last week’s Board of Public Works meeting. No start date has been confirmed but Estok says the police department is giving both individuals time to reach out to their current employer to allow a two week notice.
Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith told WKVI News both Miles and Pittman have been hired to become patrolman for the city. He added their first day is pending medical and psychological testing that each department throughout Indiana must go through before being confirmed.
