The North Judson-San Pierre School Board members officially took action to hire a new superintendent Tuesday, August 15.
Kelly Shepherd comes back to the corporation after seven years. He was most recently the superintendent at Tri-Township Schools.
Shepherd has been working in the capacity of administrative assistant for the past several weeks until the board could find a new superintendent.
Shepherd said he is ready to lead the school corporation.
“I’m just ecstatic to be able to return back home,” stated Shepherd. “There are so many great people that are still there from when I was there before. There’s a lot of good work happening. I’m just really looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and continuing the work to improve NJ-SP!”
Shepherd’s first official day as superintendent was Wednesday, August 16.
