Pulaski Memorial Hospital Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Pulaski Memorial Hospital is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year and the celebration of that milestone continues today with a special health event.

There will be services and health screenings today at the hospital, along with information about the hospital, food and beverages, crafts and games, bounce houses, a dunk tank, music, car seat clinic, and blood drive hosted by the South Bend Medical Foundation.

Pulaski Memorial Hospital Communications Director Brian Ledley noted on the WKVI Morning Show that a demonstration trailer will be a part of the event.

It’s called Hidden in Plain Sight.  It’s a trailer that comes up and it’s a mock up of a teenager’s bedroom and they show you where kids can and do hide various drug paraphernalia.  Things are hidden in certain areas. Also, there will be some information from the local Health Department.  We’re going to have some screenings, blood pressure checks, and glucose levels, things like that.  We’ll have information about some of our services and information about some of our providers.”

Pulaski Memorial Hospital was dedicated March 3, 1963 and the recognition of that anniversary continues today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET at the facility at 616 E. 13th Street in Winamac.
