A Rose Ride in memory of fallen EMT and Firefighter Michael Wilcox, Jr. is planned for Wednesday, August 16 with the line-up at 4:30 p.m. CT at Tierney Park in San Pierre.
All riders of motorcycles and vehicles will drop a single rose near the memorial ambulance at the Starke County EMS Station No. 3 at 1102 S. Main Street in Knox in honor of Wilcox, his family and brothers and sisters in public safety.
The ride meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the route announced and the processional will start at 5:45 p.m. CT.
Riders should bring their own rose to contribute. A $5.00 donation will be given to the family, although there is no cost to participate in the event.
