The West Central School Board members took action last week to approve the advertisement of the proposed 2024 budget.
Superintendent Dr. Cathy Rowe explained that the board held a workshop prior to the board’s regularly scheduled meeting where they reviewed the 2024 budget. During the meeting, the board agreed to advertise the budget.
Dr. Rowe stated, “The board approved permission to advertise our 2024 budget, Capital Projects Plan and Bus Replacement Plan. Those will be posted on our website.”

Additionally, Dr. Rowe said work is being done to the fine arts rooms.
“We are currently working on our band and choir rooms. So, if you drive past West Central you’ll notice the dumpsters sitting out front – that’s because they’ve spent the last couple of weeks or so taking up the flooring. We’ll be replacing all the flooring and redoing those spaces entirely. We have a very successful band and choir program and we want to make sure those facilities are the best we can provide for our students.”
