The West Central School Board members approved the sale of the old corporation office in Francesville during their meeting Thursday night.
Superintendent Dr. Cathy Rowe presented the information to the school board.
“The board entertained the consideration of the sale of the corporation office sale and approved that sale at $35,000,” stated Dr. Rowe. “There was a request that the buyer pay closing costs with that sale.”
The corporation office was home the West Central Administration Office for a number of years until operations moved to the Middle/High School in mid-2020.
In other news, Dr. Rowe said the corporation staff is looking forward to the start of school this year.
“Absolutely! Yes, I think we’re in a good spot. We’re hired lots of new people and we’re looking forward to all of our new employees starting and welcoming back our staff. We have excellent teachers at West Central and we’re really looking forward to a great school year. I know kids are excited and I’ve heard parents say that they’re looking forward to getting back to school Wednesday, August 9.”
She encourages parents to register students if that process has not yet been completed.
