The Winamac Town Council members met in special session Monday to review bids for the demolition of the silos on Logan Street.
The Town of Winamac previously received a Blight Elimination Program grant to assist with funding the demolition.
Winamac Town Manager Brad Zellers stated that Jackson Demolition Services was awarded the bid at a cost of $235,000.
There is no time frame to complete the demolition. Zellers said it would be up to the contractor and the company’s schedule.
