The Erie Trail between Starke County Roads 300 East and 400 East in California Township will be closed in order to complete the replacement of the Fell Ditch Bridge.
According to Steve Lucas, the project will be led by members of the Prairie Trails Club and other volunteers with support from Doral Renewables. The Prairie Trails Club will announce when the trail reopens.
The Erie Trail at this location hosts the Great American Rail-Trail, American Discovery Trail, and US Bike Route 35 which will also be affected by the closure.
