The Hamlet Town Council members opened a public hearing on the proposed 2024 budget during their most recent meeting.
According to the Notice to Taxpayers listing on the Indiana Gateway website, the General Fund is advertised at about $337,000, Local Road and Street at $8,000, Motor Vehicle Highway at about $56,000, Park Fund at about $8,200, Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund at $6,000, Cumulative Capital Development at $9,000, Economic Development at $80,000, Special Fire Protection Territory General Fund at $102,500, and Special Fire Protection Territory Equipment Replacement Fund at $20,000.
The total budget is estimated at $627,883.
There were no public comments on the budget.
The budget adoption is anticipated to be approved during the council’s next meeting Wednesday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Hamlet Town Hall at 10 S. Starke Street.
