The Knox City Council had their 2024 budget up for adoption during their meeting Tuesday.
In their previous meeting, the council held a public hearing for public comment with no comments made.
According to the notice on the Indiana Gateway website, the total budget request is just over $4 million with just over $2.3 million in the General Fund, $50,000 in Local Road and Street, $460,000 in the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund, $175,000 in the Park and Recreation Fund, and other special funds as well.
City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok entertained a motion to adopt the 2024 budget. A motion was made and seconded. The council adopted the 2024 budget unanimously by vote.
