The 29th Annual Scarecrow Festival in Wanatah begins Friday and runs through Sunday, September 24.
Friday’s events include a harvest contest from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. CT, a pork chop dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., the flag raising at 5 p.m., classic vinyl music from the Acousticats featuring the Martin Boys at 7 p.m., and the harvest contest awards and merchant drawings at 8:30 p.m.
There is a whole weekend of activities planned and those events will be featured in tomorrow’s news.
