Eastern Pulaski School Board Approves Two-Year Collective Bargaining Agreement

The Eastern Pulaski School Board members approved the two-year Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Teachers Association during a special meeting last week.

Superintendent Dara Chezem said the agreement covers years 2023-2025.

“We are excited that the new starting salary for our teachers is $43,000,” stated Chezem.  “Another important factor that was in this Collective Bargaining Agreement was the addition of a Health Savings Account for teachers on high deductible health plans.  That would be $1,000 for teachers on single plans or $2,000 toward a Health Savings Account for teachers on family plans.”

Chezem noted that later on in the meeting, the school board agreed to extend that same insurance to the Classified staff who are benefit-eligible.
