A Knox man was injured in an accident Friday, September 29 that occurred at 1100 E. and U.S. 30 in Grovertown a little before 4 p.m. CT.
According to the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, Christopher Burns of Knox told police that he fell asleep and hit the rear of an enclosed trailer being pulled by a pick-up truck driven by Seth Bedwell of La Porte. Police say the pick-up was stopped and was attempting to make a turn onto 1100 E.
Burns was transported to regional hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Starke County EMS, Koontz Lake-Oregon Township Fire Department, Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Department, and Washington Township Fire Department.
