The North Judson Town Council members adopted the 2024 budget when they met Monday night.
They formally adopted a resolution that pertains to appropriations and tax rates for the 2024 budget.
According to the Notice to Taxpayers listed on the Indiana Gateway website, the town’s major funds include the General Fund which is advertised at just over $967,000, the Local Road and Street Fund at about $31,000, Motor Vehicle Highway at about $103,000, the Park Fund at about $46,000, Cumulative Capital Development at $5,000, CEDIT Fund at about $119,000, Local Road and Bridge Matching Grant at $124,800, and the American Rescue Plan Act Fund at about $164,000.
All of the funds total $1.58 million.
The council held a public hearing during the last meeting where representatives from Baker Tilly went over an analysis of the budget with revenues and cash flows, and there were questions from the public about the park budget and the American Rescue Plan Act funds.
Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said all of the documents pertaining to the budget will be filed with the Department of Local Government Finance and will wait for the approval of the budget from the state in December.
