The Starke County commissioners discussed the 2024 holiday schedule during their meeting Monday.
It was announced Starke County would follow the state’s holiday schedule. New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Good Friday, Primary Election Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, General Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Lincoln’s Birthday, Washington’s Birthday, and Christmas Day will all be observed.
Commissioner Mark Gourley stated he would like to add President’s Day to the list of observed holidays in 2024 for Starke County. A motion was made to approve the 2024 holiday schedule with the addition of President’s Day. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
