Starke County Economic Development Foundation to Host Manufacturer’s Day for Students

The Starke County Economic Development Foundation will host Manufacturer’s Day Thursday, October 12 where 7th grade students from Knox, North Judson-San Pierre, Oregon-Davis and Culver Community School Corporations will have a chance to learn about career opportunities from local industry representatives.

Manufacturer’s Day will be held in the Knox High School All Purpose Room. 

In addition, representatives from the Starke County Initiative for Lifelong Learning, or SCILL, will be available to tell students about opportunities in the welding and automotive programs.  SCILL provides vocational training for high school juniors and seniors from nine area high schools. 

The Starke County Economic Development Foundation will also honor the 2023 Robert E. Hamilton Award winner during the annual Prospectus and Achievement Luncheon which is by invitation only.  The award is presented to a person who has contributed greatly to economic development in Starke County.
