Governor Eric J. Holcomb and the Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced the cities, towns and counties receiving portions of the $91.5 million awarded through the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program.
Communities submitted applications for funding during a highly competitive call for projects in July. Funding for Community Crossings comes from the state’s local road and bridge matching grant fund. The Community Crossings initiative has provided nearly $1.5 billion in state matching funds for local road improvement projects since 2016.
In the listening area, the communities that were awarded funding include Argos with $802,731.03; Culver with $203,452.50; Knox with $386,981.25; LaPaz with $375,442.50; La Porte County with $1 million, Pulaski County with $501,746.25; and Starke County with $195,549.75.
