The Community Foundation of Pulaski County recently announced the recipient of the 2024 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Pulaski County.
The winner is Lily Bennett of Winamac Community High School. The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship is merit-based and showcases students who are known for their community involvement, academic achievement, character, and leadership.
Seventeen students applied for the scholarship this year from Winamac Community High School, West Central High School, and Culver Community High School.
Funding for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship is provided by the Lilly Endowment and provides for full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for up to four years. The scholarship is for undergraduate students studying on a full-time basis leading to a baccalaureate degree at any eligible Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university.
Lilly Endowment Community Scholars may also participate in the Lilly Scholars Network, which connects both current scholars and alumni with resources and opportunities to be active leaders on their campuses and in their communities. Both the scholarship program and Lilly Scholars Network are supported by grants from Lilly Endowment to ICI and Indiana Humanities.
