The Culver Community School Board members selected a new member during their meeting Monday night.
Michael Pazin previously resigned from his At-Large position on the board as he moved out of state. Four candidates showed interest in the open seat and submitted information to the board. The board members then conducted candidate interviews.
As a result of the interviews, Superintendent Karen Shuman said the board selected Matt McCuen. The other candidates were Meaghan Maes, James Peterson, and Ryan Seiber. McCuen will serve out the rest of Pazin’s term which is set to expire at the end of 2024.
Additionally, the board appointed James Wolf to a full term on the Culver-Union Township Public Library Board. Wolf was appointed to the library board in September by action taken by the school board following the resignation of Chris Gambel. That term is set to expire at the end of the year. In action taken Monday night, Wolf was appointed to a full four-year term on the library board.
