The North Judson Town Council members received documents during their December 18 meeting from the Veridus Group concerning the creation of a town manager position.
The company’s representative, Pete Olson, provided the council with three documents with one of those documents being an organizational chart.
Olson said, “It’s basically just showing how a town manager would work in flow with the citizens ultimately electing the [town] council and the clerk-treasurer, and the council then directing the town manager and the town manager having responsibility for directing the rest of the departments that flow through there.”
A suggested ordinance was provided that points to state code that establishes the rules of law for governing and having a town manager. The last document was the proposed job description that is patterned after industry standards, state code, and additional wording that would format the position specifically to the Town of North Judson.
The council will be looking at those documents with approval of those documents anticipated in mid-January.
