Several positions will be open on various boards and commissions in Starke County that are appointed by the Starke County Commissioners and Starke County Council members for 2024.
Both bodies of government will reorganize with naming a president and vice president.
The commissioners will also have department liaison assignments with the Starke County Justice Center, Starke County Courthouse and Annex, Starke County Highway Department, Starke County EMS, and the landfill. Constituents with concerns can be directed to that commissioner to address issues.
The commissioners will also be looking for representatives on the K-IRPC Board, Starke County Library Board, Aviation Board, Hospital Community Board, Alcoholic Beverage Board, PTABOA Board, Internal Controls Committee, and the Starke County Convention and Visitor’s Commission.
The Starke County Council members will be looking for representatives on the Alcoholic Beverage Board, and PTABOA Board.
