The Town of North Judson, Town of Hamlet and the Town of Winamac have issued Freeze Warnings until further notice.
Town of North Judson and Town of Hamlet officials recommend to customers that starting today (Friday, January 12) all water customers should let the water run from a faucet, preferably a bathtub, in the size of a pencil lead. This will not only keep pipes from freezing, but also help keep the town’s water lines running smoothly for water access.
Any questions can be directed to the North Judson Town Hall at 574-896-3340, or to Hamlet Town Hall at 574-867-3541.
Town of Winamac officials recommend that all water and sewer customers, residential and commercial, leave the water run at a cold water faucet located inside the home or business. The water should run in a small stream, about the size of a toothpick.
Questions may be directed to the Winamac Town Hall at 574-946-3451.
Even when the weather warms to above freezing, officials urge customers to keep water running until notice is given to stop.
