Hamlet Town Council Reorganizes

The Hamlet Town Council members took action to reorganize for the new year when they met last week.

Dave Kesvormas was retained as Hamlet Town Council president, while Clint Norem was retained as Hamlet Town Marshal, Kevin Leinbach was retained as Hamlet Street Superintendent, Jason Cox was retained as Water Operator, and Jason Clemons was retained as Wastewater Operator.

In other business, the town is applying for the first round of Community Crossings Matching Grant funds for 2024. The town council unanimously approved a financial commitment letter so the process can continue. The plan is to repave Ashland, Washington, and Lincoln Streets, a section of Hamlet Street and Madison Street and McCormick Street. The work may also include the chip seal of Jefferson Street.
