The North Judson-San Pierre School Board reorganized for the new year when they met Tuesday night. Derrick Stalbaum was retained as president, Cameron Stalbaum as vice president and Sandy Kersting as secretary.
Superintendent Kelly Shepherd said that the school board approved the 2024-2025 school calendar Tuesday night. The first day of school is August 7, fall break is October 14-18 and spring break is the last full week in March 2025.
Shepherd also said that the Board of Finance met and reorganized with the same officers.
“[Corporation Treasurer] Dalton Tunis and I gave a school finance condition report to the board in the Board of Finance session, and basically the takeaway there is currently our cash balance is healthy, but our decline in enrollment is still a funding concern going forward.”
The school board also took action to appoint Justin Miller to the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library Board.
