Oregon-Davis School Board Holds First Meeting of New Year

The Oregon-Davis School Board members met for the first time in 2024 Wednesday, January 10.

The board members reorganized where Ben Lady was retained as board president, Lee Nagai was retained as vice president and Terry Minix was elected as secretary.

In addition to the election of officers, the board also voted to not accept payment for their services. This is the second consecutive year the board has taken action concerning this matter. By law, school board members can receive up to $2,000 a year, plus additional funds for each meeting they attend. However, due to the board’s action again this year, the school board members gifted those potential funds back to the school corporation.
