The Starke County Plan Commission will meet tonight where the board will reorganize.
The board will discuss a resignation letter from member Todd Lawrence, receive an update on the RV ordinance, and discuss several properties under enforcement.
The annual report from 2023 will also be provided to commission members.
The Starke County Plan Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. CT tonight, followed by the Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting at 6:30 p.m. CT where the board will reorganize.
The board will hold three public hearings. One pertains to a use variance request to create a zoo in North Judson at 602 N. Sheridan Avenue, while another one would be an area variance request to add an accessory structure on Boa Drive in Knox that is greater than two times the ground floor print of the dwelling on a parcel less than two acres with a height of 27 feet in a Residential-3 zoning. The last public hearing is a developmental standards variance to put an accessory structure on an agriculture-zoned parcel that is less than 10 acres without a dwelling on E. Toto Road in Culver.
The board members will also review the annual report for 2023.
Both the Starke County Plan Commission and Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals meetings will be held in the ground floor meeting room of the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
