The North Judson Town Council will be submitting an application to INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program.
Mitch Hansel from USI Consultants explained that the town will apply for funds for crack sealing many roads in 2024. He explained that crack sealing helps slow the degradation of roads.
The project cost is about $50,000 with the town’s match of $12,500.
Utility Superintendent Joe Leszek commented that the town will look at paving projects later this year for 2025 and even look ahead to 2026 for additional projects to help maintain the town’s roads.
