The Winamac Town Council members were updated on the demolition of the silos on Logan Street.
Town Manager Brad Zellers said the contractor is working this week to demolish the silos. The structures were deemed a blight and the town was awarded a Blight Elimination Grant to assist with the cost to demolish the silos.
Zellers previously stated that Jackson Demolition Services was awarded the bid in August 2023 at a cost of $235,000.
