The Eastern Pulaski School Board members heard a request from Mrs. Swartzell to update the Elementary Body Safety Curriculum.
Superintendent Dara Chezem said the curriculum is presented to students in kindergarten through 5th grade.
“Mrs. Swartzell adapts a curriculum based on what is developmentally appropriate for each age group,” said Chezem. “She sends the entire presentations to parents prior to going into the classroom as we want to encourage conversations at home regarding this important topic.”
Chezem said the board approved the curriculum as presented.
