The City of Knox has lifted the freeze warning for all water customers.
The freeze warning has expired as of today (Thursday, February 1). Customers should now turn off any faucet that was left running during the freeze warning to avoid additional usage charges.
If there are any questions, call the Water Department during normal business hours at 574-772-3032. If there is a water-related emergency, call the Starke County Sheriff’s Office at 574-772-3771 and the Water Department will be notified immediately.
Meanwhile, the freeze warning in the Town of Winamac and in the Town of North Judson remains in effect. Water customers in those jurisdictions are still asked to keep water running in the size of a pencil lead to keep pipes from freezing and to keep water operations in good working order.
