Newly elected North Judson-Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department Chief Todd Jackson updated the town council on fire department statistics during their last meeting.
Jackson introduced himself to the board. He said the fire department had a reorganization of officers since the former chief Joe Leszek moved to the position of town manager for the Town of of North Judson. Jackson said he is now chief while Nathan Henning is the assistant chief, Joe Leszek is the captain, Graham Max is the lieutenant, Wes Boisvert is secretary, Brian Reading is treasurer, Doug O’Donnell is assistant captain, and Noah Sanchez is assistant lieutenant.
The fire department responded to 7 fire calls in the month of January, and they responded to 8 medical calls, 3 car accidents, 1 gas leak, and requests for mutual aid.
