A driver was not injured in an early morning accident Thursday, February 1 in the area of State Road 23 south of 900 N. in Starke County.
Starke County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the scene where they located a green Ford Ranger that was overturned.
The driver, who was not identified in a report provided by police, told deputies that the vehicle ran off the west side of the roadway due to icy conditions and went down a small embankment, which caused the vehicle to roll over on its top in the front yard of a nearby residence.
The driver was able to exit the vehicle and reported no injuries and declined any medical attention, according to the report.
The Koontz Lake-Oregon Township Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control.
