One person was injured in an accident Thursday afternoon in the Hamlet area.
According to the Hamlet Police Department, multiple calls were received by the Starke County Justice Center about a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of U.S. 30 and 600 East at 2:14 p.m. CT.
Police say initial information obtained at the scene indicated that a northbound vehicle driven by 36-year-old Bryan Brantley did not see an eastbound vehicle driven by 34-year-old Benjamin Schoch. As a result, one driver was transported for medical evaluation for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Hamlet Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Hamlet-Davis Township Fire Department, Oregon-Davis Police Department, Starke County Sheriff’s Department, and Starke County Emergency Services.
