A Starke County road previously closed for repair is now open again to traffic.
Officials say County Road 150 W. between 800 S. and 900 S. was closed to repair a collapsed culvert. Interim Highway Department Superintendent Rachel Oesterreich said the culvert was 8 feet wide and 65 feet long and it collapsed causing the road to cave in at a petition ditch.
A contractor was hired to make the repairs. Dirt Works was contracted at a cost of $7,600 and the materials cost $15,000.
The road was officially opened Wednesday, February 14.
