Starke County Commissioners, Council to Meet Today

The Starke County Commissioners will meet this morning where they will discuss vehicle purchase requests from the Starke County Health Department and the Starke County Highway Department.

The commissioners will also discuss a distillery zoning amendment, and review a job description and request for a new full-time position in the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.

Mary Perren from the Starke County Economic Development Foundation will bring forward a Stellar project request, and EMS Director James Garner will present his monthly report.

Auditor Rachel Oesterreich will also have her regular report.

The Starke County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. CT today.

The Starke County Council will meet at 4 p.m. CT where Derrick Mason will have a presentation, and Starke County Councilwoman Cassandra Hine will present the Starke County Broad Shoulders award.

Health Nurse Frank Lynch will present appropriation approvals and a vehicle purchase request, Mary Perren from the Starke County Economic Development Foundation will discuss a Stellar project request and Interim Highway Superintendent Rachel Oesterreich will present a vehicle purchase.

Encumbrances will also be discussed by the Starke County Council.

Both meetings will be held in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
