The Starke County Plan Commission will meet tonight where two public hearings will be held.
Comments will be taken concerning a subdivision request by Bob Aloi with Territorial Engineering to make a subdivision with four lots in an R-2 zoned district near Koontz Lake in the area of E. South Street. The second public hearing will pertain to an ordinance amending the Starke County unified zoning ordinance to allow for the distillation and storage of spirits within Agriculture zoned districts in Starke County.
The Starke County Plan Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. CT, followed by the Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The Board of Zoning Appeals members will open area variance public hearings concerning the construction of accessory buildings between 53338 and 5412 E. Summerholm Drive area in Knox, 8476 N. Tippecanoe Drive in Walkerton, and 3854 S. Boa Drive in Knox.
Both meetings will be held in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
