The Winamac Town Council recently approved a pay raise for officers during their recent meeting in an attempt to attract and retain officers with the Winamac Police Department.
A part-time patrolman’s wage will now be $25 an hour, a full-time third class patrolman will make $23.63 an hour, a full-time second class patrolman will made $26.48 an hour, a first class patrolman will make $27.98 an hour, a lieutenant will make $28.68 an hour, and the police chief will make $2,730.84 biweekly.
The wage changes will be updated in a wage ordinance to be officially presented for adoption by the Winamac Town Council during their March meeting.
