The Winamac Town Council will meet tonight where the members will open a public hearing to take comments on the trash collection fee increase.
Following the public hearing, the council will discuss a street party, make an appointment to the Winamac Plan Commission, and discuss cemetery fees, the wastewater superintendent, self-annexation, and police retention.
The council will also get an update on the downtown sidewalk and lighting project from Town Manager Brad Zellers.
Fire contracts will be reviewed for approval, and Clerk-Treasurer Kendra Craft will present checks that have been un-cashed and un-deliverable. An ordinance pertaining to a supplement to the code of ordinances to the Town of Winamac will be considered for approval as an emergency.
An ordinance will also be presented that would increase the fee in trash collection.
The Winamac Town Council will meet tonight at 6 p.m. ET at the Winamac Utilities Complex at 623 W. 11th Street.
