The Pulaski County Election Board members signed several resolutions previously approved in public meetings.
The board approved a resolution that designates the Pulaski County Highway Garage as an annex of the Pulaski County Clerk’s Office during any early or in-person absentee voting. The Pulaski County Commissioners are anticipated to sign the resolution at an upcoming meeting. They previously approved the resolution.
Another resolution allows contested Republican candidates for Precinct Committeeman and Republican and Democratic candidates for the 2024 State Convention to serve as poll workers during the primary election.
Three resolutions pertain to the Travel Board. One resolution authorizes the establishment of an bi-partisan Absentee Travel Board for home-bound registered voters of Pulaski County and another resolution authorizes the Travel Board to allow a registered voter to complete an absentee ballot on Election Day due to recent injury and/or hospitalization. The third resolution allows the Travel Board to go to a contiguous county to complete an absentee ballot for a Pulaski County registered voter who may be receiving medical treatment.
The last resolution signed indicates that the board members may designate a proxy to perform the duty of initialing absentee ballots and absentee ballot security envelopes.
