Starke County Sheriff Jack Rosa announced this week a new illegal activity tip hotline has been created in order to create safer communities.
That number is 574-772-5958.
He stated in a release that community effort and support allowed law enforcement officials to recently identity two individuals who were allegedly dealing illegal substances in Starke County. He said it would not have led to the successful apprehension of these individuals without the help of community members.
Detectives, in collaboration with the recently created Strategic Response Team, continue to work together to combat illegal drugs, as well as individuals who have active warrants and who may not be appropriately registering as sex offenders.
Sheriff Rosa and the staff at the Starke County Sheriff’s Office want to work more in partnership with the community so a hotline has been initiated in order for residents to anonymously report illegal activity. Call the number, 574-772-5958, and then leave a message. Once the message is recorded and the caller hangs up, police will follow up on the information.
This hotline is for tips only. If there is an emergency, call 911, or if there is a need for officer assistance, call the Starke County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center at 574-772-3771 option 2.
