The Winamac Town Council members recently reviewed and accepted fire contracts when they met for their regular meeting in February.
One contract stated that the Town of Winamac and the Trustee of Tippecanoe Township agree that the town shall furnish fire protection of Tippecanoe Township in a contracted amount of $2,174.42 to be paid by the trustee.
A second contract stated that the Town of Winamac and the Trustee of Jefferson Township agree that the town shall furnish fire protection for Jefferson Township in a contracted amount of $6,157.28 to be paid by the trustee.
A third contract stated that the Town of Winamac and the Trustee of Harrison Township agree that the town shall furnish fire protection for Harrison Township in a contracted amount of $6,124.42 to be paid by the trustee.
All contracts were signed by the Winamac Town Council members, Winamac Clerk-Treasurer, township trustee, and township advisory board members in each township.
