Deputies from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office are inviting residents of all ages to bike with an officer May 4 at Bass Lake and at Koontz Lake.
May is National Bike Safety Month and officers will be discussing bike safety with children and adults, along with equipment and rules of the road.
After the information session, the officers will lead those in attendance on a short bike ride. They are asking everyone to meet at Scoops and Smiles at Bass Lake May 4 at 10 a.m. CT for a ride to the Bass Lake Beach. Later in the day, everyone can meet at the Rannells Funeral Home in Koontz Lake at 2 p.m. CT for a short ride to Koontz Lake Storage.
