Early voting continues in Starke County and in Pulaski County.
In Starke County, 315 voters have cast an early in-person ballot, 127 ballots have been mailed to voters with 76 of those ballots returned. The deadline to request a mail-in absentee ballot was Thursday, April 25. Officials urge voters to return ballots as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays. Ballots must be received by 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 7.
In-person early voting continues through Friday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to noon CT at the Starke County Courthouse in Knox.
Early in-person voting will also be available Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 from noon to 6 p.m. CT, and Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT at the Koontz Lake Sewer District Building at 10625 E. Prairie Road in Koontz Lake.
In Pulaski County, 335 voters have cast an early in-person ballot, 66 ballots have been mailed to voters with 41 of those returned.
Early in-person voting continues through Friday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, and Monday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to noon ET at the Pulaski County Highway Garage at 1131 N. U.S. 35 in Winamac.
Early voting will also be available Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to noon ET at the Francesville Fire Station and at the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
There are several contested races on the ballots in each county. Officials urge voters to vote early or head to the polls Tuesday, May 7 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time to make your voice heard.
