Eastern Pulaski School Board Approves Donations

The Eastern Pulaski School Board members accepted grant gifts during their recent meeting, according to Superintendent Dara Chezem.

“The Jim Dobson Memorial Fund gave a $1,000 recurring grant to support our music programs at Winamac Community High School,” explained Chezem. “This traditionally has been the Jim Dobson Memorial Scholarship and it has now been created into the Memorial Fund in memory of Jim Dobson. We really appreciate the support. The school district also received the Betty L. Knarr Oberg gift for $10,000 earmarked for the Middle and High School Library. Betty started her teaching career here in her hometown at Winamac High School where she graduated in 1949. We really appreciate her generosity and remembrance.”

Additionally, Chezem said the board also accepted a $200 donation from Larry Rausch for a donation for the special needs preschool and Lightstream donated solar eclipse glasses for the entire school corporation.
