Knox Board of Public Works Updated on Hydrant Flushing

The Knox Board of Public Works was given a water department update during their meeting last week.

Knox Water Department Superintendent Tim Lindewald informed the board they have completed spring fire hydrant flushing throughout the city. He added they replaced a fire hydrant located at Clark and Parkview Streets in effort to make the hydrant more level for easier access. He went on to say the department changed out six water meters during the month of March.

Lindewald announced they are currently working on the Wythogan Park Splash Pad in hopes they have it open for the rest of the spring and summer seasons. In a previous Knox City Council meeting, it was announced the water has been turned on at Wythogan Park and restrooms are open as well.
