List Community Crossings Matching Grant Award Projects in Hamlet

The Hamlet Town Council recently adopted the name change of 600 N. in the town limits to John R. Slusher Drive

It was announced last week that the Town of Hamlet was the recipient of $133,000 in the state’s Community Crossings Matching Grant funding for the first grant cycle of the year.

The funding will go toward chip sealing Jefferson Street from Railroad to Indiana. It also includes the reconstruction of Ashland Street, Washington Street and Lincoln Street, as well as Madison Street from Division to Hamlet, Hamlet Street from Davis to Railroad, and McCormick Street from Pearl to Davis Streets.

The town’s match for the grant is $44,368.69.

Additionally, the Town of Hamlet recently approved the renaming of 600 N. in the Hamlet town limits to John R. Slusher Drive.
