A Starke County Republican Party Caucus was held Monday, April 1 to fill a seat left vacant by Travis Schieber who was recently elected to the Knox City Council in Center District 2 in the November municipal general election.

Two candidates filed the proper paperwork 72 hours prior to Monday’s caucus. Jaime Gruszczynski and Shannon Hoekman both discussed that they would like to serve the community and see what can be done as far as producing more opportunities for the youth in the community.
