The Eastern Pulaski School Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Indianapolis during their meeting last week, according to Superintendent Dara Chezem.
“This is an agreement for the reading Cadre for the Elementary,” explained Chezem. “It’s also an agreement to have a dedicated reading coach that Susie Schultz – she has been our instructional coach, but she is going to be focused solely on reading and the new science of reading initiatives and supporting our teachers in that. As part of that agreement with the University of Indianapolis and this reading Cadre, for the next two years, a prorated portion of Susie’s salary will be paid through this grant.”
