Culver School Resource Officer Ryleigh Carr was sworn into office as the Chief of Police of The Community Police Department during the Culver Community School Board meeting Monday, May 20.

Carr recently graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy and has been working alongside School Resource Officer Bill Dulin.

The Culver Community School Corporation is the 45th school in Indiana to establish its own police department.

Both Carr and Dulin are present daily on the campus of the Culver Community School Corporation and patrol inside and outside the buildings to ensure safety to all students and staff throughout the day. They will continue to make sure all are safe as students end the regular school year this week and return for extra instruction and programs during summer school.
