North Judson Police Department Urges Residents to Follow Golf Cart Ordinance, Curfew Regulations

North Judson Town Marshal Kelly Fisher told the North Judson Town Council members last week that residents should be following the golf cart ordinance when operating those motor vehicles on the roads in the town limits.

She pointed to those operating golf carts on State Road 10. It is against state statute to operate golf carts on the highway. She stressed the police department will be enforcing that and if the action continues, permits will be pulled for that golf cart.

Marshal Fisher also stressed that curfew will be enforced. Violations will be given for those who violate curfew. According to Town Code, it is unlawful for any minor to be in at a public place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. CT Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. CT Friday and Saturday. There are exceptions such as when a minor is with a parent or guardian, or has permission from a parent or guardian to be out past curfew, or when returning home from an activity.

Additionally, the council urges residents to keep up with tall grass and vegetation on properties.
